With Russell Crowe's movie about Robin Hood set to come out sometime next year, I thought it only appropriate that I post my own notes on how Lance found himself created Sir Robin of Loxley.

How This Relates to Robin Hood (Author's Assumptions)
* The story of Robin takes place during the reign of King John I, who was Richard's brother
* Though a Hospitaller, Lance finds himself aligned with Richard
* He ends up travelling with Richard to the Holy Lands and involved in the Third Crusade
* Richard receives word that John has had him declared dead and has taken the throne
* Creates Lance "Robin of Loxley" and sends him back to England to somehow overthrow John
* Lance gets to England and finds another Immortal embroiled in John's court under the assumed name of "Maid Marian".
* The rest, as they say, is history


This is, of course, subject to change once the movie is released.

Dozens dead in Italian earthquake

The SciFi Channel's having a Highlander marathon all day on Thursday.

I really hate thinking I have to implement a "friending policy," but in light of the recent bot activity, I feel I have to. Public entries will be kept public, but in order for people to be added back, they must first meet a few criteria:

1) Unless there is some kind of info about the journal's owner, I will not add them back.

Due to conflicting interests, I've decided that the "Perps & Pervs" storyline involving FBI Agent Natalie Bruenner, the murder of Steve Johnson and the kidnapping of Sarah Knightly will be played out expressively in Lance's LJ. Said story does not truly lend itself to the RP format of never_a_game. However, once the fic had been completed, I will be posting links to all the different "Chapters" so folks can read what's been happening in Lance's & Natalie's lives. The chapters that have already been written are currently under revision and will be reposted once the edits are complete.

Please bear in mind that this is the first time I've written a murder mystery. I haven't delved much into that genre, but having been a fan of various law!fic shows (Law & Order[SVU], NCIS, and Moonlight) I hope I can write this well enough to keep people guessing and to not fall back on the predictable.

I haven't yet made a concrete decision concerning whether or not to turn Natalie into a full-blown muse, but there is every possibility she may end up with her own LJ. Since creating her, I've realized that there could very well be years of interaction between her, Lance and Quinn. It will be interesting to see how future stories play out. In case anyone is wondering, I highly doubt I'll have the same PB issues with Natalie as I did with Quinn. She's already latched on to Angie Harmon as her PB of choice. Makes my life easier.

So, stay tuned for the new & improved chapters.

Now that broadsword_babe's timeline has changed a bit, so has Lance's. What this means for him is that he won't be as obsessive about protecting her as he has been. He will still keep tabs on her, as he has in the past, but won't be physically following her, as much. Quinn has no idea he's still around. As with Quinn's LJ, I will be going through Lance's entries & anything pertaining to the Hunters & all that will be filtered. I will also be working more on fleshing him out as a muse.
